Our Member Charge application is intended for capturing Employee Charges, Department Charges, Student Charges, and other generic Member Charges through Micros. Several types of Member Charges are available:
Charging "on account" - Payroll deduction, student accounts, invoicing, house charges, etc.
Resident Charges - Hospital "Residents". A fixed amount is charged to the "resident account" per meal-period. Any excess is charged to the person's individual account.
Value Cards - These are like gift cards. The holder pays some amount in advance, and that becomes the card balance, which is reduced with each purchase. It is possible to add value to the cards at the Micros POS, or from the "Back of House".
Multiple Micros Servers can share the same database of members, if there is a tcp/ip connection between each Micros Server and the PC containing the member database. 8700, 9700, and 3700 are supported, as are touchscreen workstations and keyboard workstations. Currently, the database must be either Sybase (3700 server) or MS-SQL (MSDE is fine).
Accounts (Members/Employees, etc) can be imported from a 3rd party application, like Payroll, and can be entered/maintained manually. Many locations import a list of employees from Payroll each day, then manually enter Department accounts.
Supports magnetic cards, barcoded cards, or manual entry and name lookup (if manual entry is allowed).
Member charging can be restricted by member by revenue center, and tender type. Members can have credit limits, or not.
Reports are available to detail charges by Member, by date range, revenue center, tender type, and location. Reports can be saved as ascii data, html, or the data may be saved as an Excel file (if Excel is installed).
At the end of the "period", charges can be automatically exported to an ascii file which is normally used to import charges into a 3rd party application, like Payroll or Quickbooks to support payroll deductions or invoicing.
